Question 1

Is SiftMail the same as sift.email?

Accepted Answer

No. SiftMail (siftmail.app) is an AI-powered email security and triage platform for end users that connects to Gmail or Outlook. sift.email is a separate, unrelated email-list verification API for marketers. The two products are different companies in different categories with no affiliation.

Question 2

What does SiftMail do?

Accepted Answer

SiftMail connects to a user's Gmail or Outlook inbox, automatically categorizes every email, surfaces important messages, bundles promotions and newsletters into digests, and detects phishing, impersonation, and Business Email Compromise attempts. It also provides the Sift Inbox Index, a searchable index of inbox history.

Question 3

Does SiftMail read my emails?

Accepted Answer

SiftMail reads and indexes your email content, including message bodies, to score security threats and build your searchable inbox index. This processing is automated. SiftMail does not allow humans to read your email content except in the narrow, disclosed circumstances described in Section 7 of our privacy policy (Google API Limited Use Disclosure).

Question 4

Does SiftMail work with Outlook?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SiftMail supports both Gmail and Outlook (Microsoft 365) via OAuth.

Question 5

Is SiftMail free?

Accepted Answer
